(Pete) Schell passed away Wednesday, June 9, 2004 at Saint Joseph's Hospital after a long and courageous fight with cancer. Pete was born in Newport, Washington in 1924 to Rosie and Jacob Schell. He served in the United States Navy submarine service during World War II and moved to Atlanta, Georgia in 1955. Pete and his long time friend Jack Spidle owned and operated "The Kimball House Saloon" for 15 years. He also worked for Rich's Department Store and retired after 30 years of service. He will be remembered for his unique artistic talent. He is survived by his friend Jack Spidle, a sister Joanne Mohr of Montecito, California and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother Arthur and a sister Evelyn. Mr. Schell was cremated and his ashes will be placed in his hometown of Newport, Washington. At his request there will be no memorial service. In lieu of flowers please donate to a charity of your choice in his name. Cremation Society of Georgia, 404-355-7627.
