Description	:	Erwin P. Vandemark, 81, Kenmare, formerly of Norma, died Monday, April 16, 2007 in the Kenmare Community Hospital. Erwin was born April 16, 1926 in Norma, ND, the son of Merreitt and Wilhelminne (Lee) Vandemark. He attended school in Norma and helped on the family farm while growing up. On November 30, 1945 he entered the United States Army and served during World War II. He was honorably discharged on January 12, 1947, and he returned to the Norma area. Vandemark, 81, Kenmare, formerly of Norma, died Monday, April 16, 2007 in the Kenmare Community Hospital. Erwin was born April 16, 1926 in Norma, ND, the son of Merreitt and Wilhelminne (Lee) Vandemark. He attended school in Norma and helped on the family farm while growing up. On November 30, 1945 he entered the United States Army and served during World War II. He was honorably discharged on January 12, 1947, and he returned to the Norma area. Erwin worked at the Norma elevator for over 22 years, and for a short time he worked on the Soo Line Railroad. He later worked for the Kimberly-Clark-Schweitzer Flax Straw Company in the Norma area. Erwin was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, rural Kenmare and the American Legion Post in Mohall, ND. Survivors: Brother, Wilfred (Lila) Vandemark, Tolley, ND; sister, Annette Gottschall, Norma, ND; numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Erwin was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Maurice Vandemark, and brother-in-law, Chris Gottschall. Funeral: Friday, April 20, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, rural Kenmare, ND. Visitation: Friday, one hour prior to the service in the church. Burial: Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, rural Kenmare. Officiant: Rev.
