Description	:	Esta Mae Behrens, of Norfolk, died peacefully at her home Wednesday, November 13, 2013. Esta Mae was born on May 8, 1935, in Lynch, Nebraska, the daughter of Esty and Emma (Rust) Nelson. Esta Mae attended rural school prior to graduating Spencer (NE.) High School in 1952. On February 1, 1953, Esta Mae married Dallas L. Behrens in Stanton, Nebraska. In 1954, they moved to Fremont, Nebraska, from 1954 to 1957, when they moved to O'Neill, Nebraska where they owned and operated Farmer's Produce. They moved to Norfolk, Nebraska in 1962. Esta Mae was born on May 8, 1935, in Lynch, Nebraska, the daughter of Esty and Emma (Rust) Nelson. Esta Mae attended rural school prior to graduating Spencer (NE.) High School in 1952. On February 1, 1953, Esta Mae married Dallas L. Behrens in Stanton, Nebraska. In 1954, they moved to Fremont, Nebraska, from 1954 to 1957, when they moved to O'Neill, Nebraska where they owned and operated Farmer's Produce. They moved to Norfolk, Nebraska in 1962. She was employed as a bookkeeper at Dale Electronics for seven years. Later, she was the manager of the Crafts Department at Wal-Mart and co-owner of Gro-Lean Feed Products. She retired in 1997. Esta Mae was a charter member of the Christian Women's Group in the Norfolk area. She was a life-long participant in 4H, as a member and also served as a judge. In 1995, Esta Mae was selected as the LaVista "Sweetheart". She loved her flower garden. However, her passion was her family and her faith. Esta Mae is survived by: children, Charla Finlayson, of Rigby, Idaho, Sue and John Manning, Norfolk, Nebraska, Kathy and Jr, Clausen, Douglas and Darla Behrens of Wathena, Missouri; son-in-law, Gene Waddle of Norfolk, Nebraska; twelve grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; two sisters, Lois and Sam Seikaly and Ilene McCallson. Esta Mae was preceded in death by: son, Dallas Lee Behrens; parents; husband; daughter, Debra Waddle; one brother in infancy and one sister, Connie Evert.
