Description	:	Funeral services for Mrs. Estella Wheelock were held at 2 pm Thursday at the Conrad Methodist Church, with Rev. Ray Howland officiating. Burial was in the Conrad cemetery. Special music for the service was provided by vocalists Mrs. Grant Frier and Mrs. C.D. Newton with Miss Evelyn Stevens organist. Casket bearers were Horace Daggett, Raymond Daggett, John Stubbs, Harlan Stubbs, Dilman Daggett and Kenneth Daggett. Estella Isabel Wheelock, daughter of Simon E. and Sylvia Lenfest Daggett, was born April 29, 1872, and passed away October 30, at the age of 95 years, 6 months and 1 day at her home northeast of Conrad, on a farm which is a part of the original home place where she was born. She received her elementary education at Clay Township No. 4 rural school 1/2 mile north of her childhood home. She wen two terms to Cedar Falls, known at that time as State Normal School. On June 10, 1908 she was married to Joel A. Wheelock at Conrad, with the exception of 4 years at Banger, 4 years at Clear Lake and 1 at Alden she spent her entire life in this community. This union was blessed with a daughter, Bessie, now Mrs. Wilbur Player of Lafayette Indiana and a son, Calvin of Conrad, with whom she made her home, also surviving are 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren and one sister, Minnie Daggett of Conrad. She was preceded in death by her husband Sept. 26 1965, also her parents, 2 sisters and 4 brothers. Mrs. Wheelock was a member of the Methodist Church, and was an active member of the WSCS for many years and was a honorary life member. She was also a member of the WCTU and enjoyed attending their meetings and was made a honorary life member of that organization also. She was a fine Christian woman, a wonderful mother, a good neighbor, and will be greatly missed by the many relatives and friends that she always remembered with greeting cards on birthdays.
