Leo Riesberg and Msgr. Leonard Ziegmann officiated. Mrs. Steinkamp passed away at Twilight Acres in Wall Lake on Saturday, October 14, 2000. Music was by organist Sue Mein and St. Joseph's choir. Interment was made in Wall Lake under the direction of Farber & Otteman Funeral Home. Estella M. Steinkamp was born January 4, 1911, in Sac County, Ia., the daughter of Louis and Barbara Heidenreich Reising. She was confirmed at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Breda. On February 4, 1931, she married Lawrence Steinkamp in Breda. They farmed southeast of Wall Lake until 1967 and moved into Wall Lake in 1974. Mrs. Steinkamp moved into Twilight Acres in December of 1996. She was a member of St. Joseph's church in Wall Lake. Hobbies which Mrs. Steinkamp enjoyed were gardening, raising flowers, crocheting, playing cards and spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include 9 sons: Leon (& Dorothy) of Grand Meadow, Minn., Luverne (& Alice) of Taopi, Minn., Ambrose (& Mildred), Neil (& Marie) , Orlin (& Myra) and Tim (& a special friend, Cindy), all of Wall Lake, Everett (& Mary) of Republic, Mo., Dennis (& Vivian) of Ida Grove and Mark (& Renee) of Carroll; 39 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Viola (Mrs. Walter) Koster of Breda and Dorothy Walz of Carroll. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence on July 3, 1995; her parents; a daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Joe Klein; 2 grandchildren; 2 brothers; and 3 sisters.
