Description	:	Estelle Florence Corkum Sweenys Funeral Home Estelle Florence Corkum 75, of Bridgewater, passed away January 3, 2002, after a long illness. Born in Clark's Harbour, she was the daughter of the late Dewey and Genevieve (Newell) Nickerson. Estelle worked beside her husband, Gerald at Corkum's Fish Market and later at Corkum's Corner Grocery for 35 years until they both retired in 1989. She is survived by her husband, Gerald; a son, Greg and wife Jane (Winters), Hubley; grandchildren, Casey and Kelly, Hubley; brothers, Stanley, North East Point; Ralph, Clark's Harbour; Bill, Miami; sister, Lillian (George) Pettet, West Head. She was predeceased by her brother, Orville. A memorial service will be held 11 am Monday in the Bridgewater United Baptist Church, Bridgewater, Rev. Dr. Thomas Harvey officiating with a reception to follow in the church hall. A private family interment will take place in the Brookside Cemetery, Bridgewater at a later date. No flowers by request. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of your choice through Sweeny's Funeral Home, Bridgewater. Stell will be missed by all the Cape Islanders, the host of friends she made while working at the Fish Market, her Florida traveling friends, her family and her dog Sprite.
