Description	:	Mrs. Estelle I. Flaherty died Tuesday in a local hospital after a long illness. She was born in Denver, Colo., and came to Humboldt County when she was three years of age with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Howell, who first settled in the Orick vicinity. Mrs. Flaherty lived in Eureka for the past 37 years and was one of the charter members of the Grandmother's club of the First Baptist Church. She lived at 1407 Hayes Street. A son, Frank F. Flaherty of Eureka died September 4, 1947. Funeral services will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. from the Sanders Funeral Home with the Rev. Gregory S. Morony officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
