Description	:	Ester Bernice Ayer, formerly of North St., Bamberg, S.C., died April 28, 2002, at Lowman Home, White Rock, S.C. Ms. Ayer was born December 3, 1927, in Olar, S.C., the daughter of the late Halcot Benjamin Ayer, and the late Winnie J. Kinard Ayer. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bamberg. She attended the Olar school system. She enjoyed bowling and participating in the Special Olympics. Grady Walden officiating. Pallbearers will be Hagood Allen, Jr., Hal Ayer, Kenny Richardson, James Miller, Harold Miller, and Bobby Richardson. Survivors include, three sisters, Mildred Ayer Allen of Bamberg, S.C., Maxine Ayer Williams of Augusta, Ga., Ruth Ayer Bedoit of Chattanooga, Tenn.; one sister-in-law, Katherine Meek Ayer of Marietta, Ga., 17 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Wilford Earl Ayer, Jimmy H. Ayer, and three sisters, Elise Ayer Miller, Ethel Ayer Cook, Zelma Ayer Richardson. She was loved by all who knew her. Memorials may be made to St. John Baptist Church, Ehrhardt, S.C., Colston Branch Baptist Church, Bamberg, S.C., and to the American Cancer Society. The visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, April 29, 2002, at the COONER FUNERAL HOME, BAMBERG, S.C.
