Parker, whose death occurred on the preceding Sunday at the Columbus hospital in Great Falls, after an illness of about ten days. The funeral was largely attended and the floral tributes were numerous and very beautiful. The body was laid to rest in the family plot in Choteau cemetery. The passing of Mrs. Parker, who was but a few months past 48, was regretted by all who knew her and esteemed her highly, and it occasioned many heartfelt expressions of sympathy to the bereaved members of the family. Her maiden name was Esther B. Kelley and she was born June 6, 1896, at Grosses Creek, Smyth county, Virginia. On Jan. 29, 1913, at a ceremony performed at the court house in Choteau, she became the wife of Grover C. Parker. Since that time the two have been devoted companions. Most of their married life was spent on ranches in Teton county, but they made their home in Choteau a good deal of the time during winter months when the children were attending school. For many years their home was at McDonald creek, tributary to the Teton river northwest of Choteau. This they sold about ten years ago and moved to the South Fork of the Dupuyer west of Pendroy near the mountains where Mr. Parker engaged quite extensively in ranching and livestock raising. She is survived by her husband; her mother, Mrs. S. Kelley of Fruitland, Wash.; two sons, Paul Parker of Choteau, and Grover D. Parker of Pendroy; a daughter, Mrs. Beatrice Woesssner of Augusta; three brothers, Martin Kelley of Wenatchee, Wash., Dudley Kelley of Seattle, and Max Kelley of Portland, Ore.; and four sisters. Coming from Great Falls for the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Eagan, Mr. and Mrs. John Grady, Mr and Mrs. Laurence Dunkin and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Schatzka, all special friends of the Parker family. -- Parents: Dudley Kelley and Sally Johnson
