Description	:	MRS. ESTHER STEWART Mrs. Esther Stewart, 95, of Janesville, died Sunday evening, Jan. 30, at the Bartels Lutheran Home in Waverly. Esther Jane Case was born on July 4, 1887 in Chickasaw, Iowa, the daughter of Allen and Anna Stuffle Case. She attended grade school in Chickasaw, and graduated from the Ionia High School in 1905. Esther taught in rural schools as well as elementary grades at Clarksville and Janesville for a period of 25 years. She was married to John A. ESTHER STEWART Mrs. Esther Stewart, 95, of Janesville, died Sunday evening, Jan. 30, at the Bartels Lutheran Home in Waverly. Esther Jane Case was born on July 4, 1887 in Chickasaw, Iowa, the daughter of Allen and Anna Stuffle Case. She attended grade school in Chickasaw, and graduated from the Ionia High School in 1905. Esther taught in rural schools as well as elementary grades at Clarksville and Janesville for a period of 25 years. She was married to John A. Stewart of Janesville on August 27, 1931 in New Hampton, and they made their home in Janesville until John's death on November 1, 1943. Esther continued to reside in the family home until moving to the Bartels Home on October 14, 1980. She was a member of the Janesville United Methodist Church and was a 50 year member of the Shamrock Rebekah Lodge #296, Janesville. She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant brother and sister as well as her sister, Mrs. Huldah Bigelow, of Nashua, and her husband. She is survived by seven nieces and nephews, Anna Bigelow Usher of Nashua, Bert Bigelow of Nashua, Robert Bigelow of Janesville, Evelyn Bigelow Taylor of San Paulo, Brazil, Wilma Bigelow Crandall of Charles City, Donald Bigelow of Costa Mesa, Calif., Harold Bigelow of Sheridan, Wyoming, a number of grand nieces and nephews, and her husband's nephew, John Verrier of Des Moines. Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 2, 1:30 p.m. at the Janesville United Methodist Church with Rev. Philip L. Clinton and Rev. Warren W. Duit officiating. A Rebekah service conducted by Shamrock Rebekah Lodge #296 will immediately follow in the church. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, Janesville.
