Esther Ellen Myers was born in Fillmore county, Nebraska, April 30, 1883, to Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Mann, pioneer settlers in Bennett township. Here she grew to womanhood. March 9, 1904, she married William E. Myers. To this union three children were born, Mildred Evelyn, who passed away in 1918, Merna (Mrs. Herbert McCullough) who survives, and an infant son Lyle William, who passed away in 1919. Esther Ellen Myers was born in Fillmore county, Nebraska, April 30, 1883, to Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Mann, pioneer settlers in Bennett township. Here she grew to womanhood. March 9, 1904, she married William E. Myers. To this union three children were born, Mildred Evelyn, who passed away in 1918, Merna (Mrs. Herbert McCullough) who survives, and an infant son Lyle William, who passed away in 1919. Mr. Myers passed away in February, 1950. She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Merna McCullough of Columbus, two grandsons, six great-grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Gertrude Johnson of Hastings. Mr. and Mrs. Myers moved from Geneva to Columbus about 25 years ago. Funeral services were held at the Methodist church in Columbus at 10 a. m. Monday, June 15, with further services at 2 p. m. at the Kritner-Farmer funeral home in Geneva. Rev. Homer C. Beatty of the Columbus Methodist church officiated at both services.
