She was affiliated with the Bible Baptist Church, the Daughters of America, and was active with the Ashtabula Senior Citizen Center. She enjoyed doing hand crafts such as crocheting and plastic canvas, and was an avid Cleveland Indians fan.Survivors include two daughters, Karen (Gordan) Sharpe of Williamsfield Twp., and Grace Bowman of Engles, Fla.; three grandchildren, Christopher Border of Florida and Gordan and Richard Sharpe of Williamsfield Twp.; a great-granddaughter, Mariah Sharpe; four sisters, Helen Udell of Modesto, Calif., Dorothy Hopson of Andover, Flora Riopelle of Allen Park, Mich., and Mona Donahue of Huron Hts., Mich.; a brother, Clare Brockway of Tuscon, Ariz.; and a half-brother, Robert Brockway of Modesto, Calif.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Andrew in 1966; a son, Donald Andrew Border; two grandchildren, Joseph Andrew Bowman and Rosemarie Kay Sharpe; and three sisters, Kathryn Brockway, Adelaid Richardson and Adeline Stieninger.Funeral Services will be 11 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 23rd, at the Ashtabula Home of the FLEMING and BILLMAN FUNERAL DIRECTORS, 526 W. Prospect Road, Ashtabula, with Alisa Nierzejewski, Certified Celebrant, leading the service. Sharpe March 21, 2016 WILLIAMSFIELD — Karen "Kay" Elizabeth Sharpe, age 62, died on Friday, March 18, 2016, at Meadville Medical Center after a brief illness. She was born on Feb. 5, 1954, in Long Beach, Calif., a daughter of Andrew and Esther Boarder. Kay moved to Williamsfield, Ohio, over thirty years ago and married Gordan Edward Sharpe. She was a helpful and smiling clerk at the Shell Stations at Orwell and Andover for over sixteen years until she retired in 2011. She enjoyed baking and crocheting. Kay was preceded in death by her parents; and a daughter, Rosemarie Kay Sharpe. Survivors include her husband of thirty-six years, Gordan E. Sharpe of Williamsfiled, Ohio; two sons, Gordan E. Sharpe of Williamsfield, Ohio and Richard T. (Ashley) Sharpe of the United States Air Force, Aviano Air Force Base, Giulia, Italy; a sister, Grace Christian of Wewahitchka, Fla.; and three grandchildren, Mariah, Aiden, Brody with a granddaughter on the way. Calling Hours will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, March 22nd, at BAUMGARDNER FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICE, 134 Prospect St., Andover, Ohio.
