ESTHER IRENE KRAMER Esther Irene Kramer of 402 Oak Street, Three Oaks passed away at Berrien General Hospital, Berrien Center at 11:27 P.M. on July 24, 1987. Mrs. Kramer was born in Lakeside, Michigan on September 25, 1897 the daughter of Lamott and Harriet Glidden Wire. She was 89 years old at the time of her death. She was married to Mellon C. Kramer, who passed away on September 26, 1972. Mrs. Kramer is survived by 3 stepchildren: Rosemary Heckathorn, Three Oaks; Richard Kramer of Stevensvllle; David Kramer of Colorado Springs, Colorado; 11 step grandchildren; 17 step great grandchildren and 3 step great great grandchildren. A stepson, Paul Kramer, preceeded her in death on Jan. 28, 1985. Mrs. Kramer is also survived by one sister Dorothy Reese, Galien. She was a Veteran of World War 2, W.A.C. and had lived in this area all her life. She was formerly a bookkeeper with Indiana & Michigan Electric, South Bend. Funeral services were held Monday, July 27 at St. John United Church of Christ, of which she was a member, with Rev. C.W. Runkel officiating. Burial was in Lakeside Cemetery where rites were conducted by American Legion Post #518, New Troy of which she was a member. She was also a member of Rebecca Dewey Chapter, D.A.R. Memorials may be made to St. John United Church of Christ. Arrangements by Connelly-Noble Funeral Home, Three Oaks." From The Galien River Gazette, July 30, 1987, page 29
