Description	:	Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Sat., Aug. 5, for Esther Julia Garlock, 91, Lake Preston, who died on Aug. 1, 2006, at Kingsbury Memorial Manor in Lake Preston. The Rev. Becky Senenr will officiate in Lake Preston Lutheran Church, and burial will be in Lake Preston City Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday at the Johnson-Henry Funeral Chapel in Lake Preston, and preceding services at the church on Saturday. Esther Field was born on Feb. 13, 1915, on the family farm in the North Preston area to Eric and Sarah (Kvinge) Field. She graduated from Lake Preston High School, living with families in town during the school year. After high school, she worked as a housekeeper and spent some time in the Twin Cities. She moved to Chicago, where she found work as a housekeeper. She married Ron Garlock on Nov. 21, 1936. Survivors include her husband, Ron of Brookings; two sons, Dennis of Salem, Ore., and Roger of Arrey, N.M.; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Kenneth Field of Hot Springs, and Eugene Field of Hazel; and a sister, Inger Kvinge of Lake Preston.
