Description	:	Esther Emma Rieker Rosenoff, age 93, with loved ones by her side, died on Nov. 5, 2010. The daughter of Germans from Russia, Maagdelena Gutsche and Christin Rieker, she was born March 21, 1917 in Ritzvile, where she grew up. After graduating from Ritzville High School, she started her career in banking. She continued this work after moving to California, becoming one of the first female bankers in Sacramento. Read More	Esther Emma Rieker Rosenoff, age 93, with loved ones by her side, died on Nov. 5, 2010. The daughter of Germans from Russia, Maagdelena Gutsche and Christin Rieker, she was born March 21, 1917 in Ritzvile, where she grew up. After graduating from Ritzville High School, she started her career in banking. She continued this work after moving to California, becoming one of the first female bankers in Sacramento. There she married Wayne Rosenoff, and Army Air Corps pilot and a former classmate from Ritzville. In 1945 following World War II, the couple moved to Los Angeles where Wayne was on the staff at UCLA and she continued to work in banking. There they started raising their two son (names omitted for privacy). Wayne then joined California Test Bureau, now McGraw Hill and the family moved to Monterey in 1960. Esther quicly became an active member of the First Presbyterian Church in Monterey, as well as many other service organizations. With good cheer and her talents, she provided music, played the piano and organ for countless resident of local nursing home. Keeping their home and hearts in Montery, the couple moved to Oakland in 1970 for 10 years while Wayne worked for Far West Lab for the Educational Research and Development. She begane volunteering for the American Lung Association and later became a member of the state. Upon retirement in 1980 the couple had a rich life in Monterey. She continued her many knitting and colorful needlework projects for her home and gifts for loved ones. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years Dr. Wayne Rosenoff in 2003. She is survived by her two sons, and two grand children and one great grand-daughter; one sister, one sister-in-law and one brother-in-law. as well as many nieces, nephews and their children.
