Maxey, 51-year old postal carrier and leader of Maxey's Orchestra, died Saturday evening in St. Mary's Hospital Rochester, Minn. Maxey, 51-year old postal carrier and leader of Maxey's Orchestra, died Saturday evening in St. Mary's Hospital Rochester, Minn. Cause of death was a rupture of the thorasic aorta and he had been hospitalized one week after becoming suddenly ill. Maxey was born in North Liberty, Ia., April 2, 1904 and was marred to Evelyn Ruth Turner June 16, 1926 at Ethan, S.D. He had been a resident of Huron the past 25 years and in addition to his duties as postal carrier had organized Maxey's Orchestra. He was a member of the Letter Carriers Association, Musicians Union and Elks Lodge and was active in music circles of the city. Surviving are his widow, three sons and two daughters. Also surving his parents. Mr and Mrs. William E. Maxey of Bancroft; one brother, Everett Maxey, Chester, Calif.; three sisters; Mrs Ray Long, Huron; Mrs Chris Gelman, Bancroft; Mrs Gordon Barry, Duluth Minn.; one grandchild. Funeral services will be held at the Welter Chapel at 2 p.m. Tuesday with the Rev. W. Morris Kildl in charge. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
