She was born March 30, 1921, in Lewistown, Mo., to Lawrence and Elizabeth Brumbaugh Thrasher. She married James Judge in Dallas in 1957. He preceded her in death in July 2011. She had worked for John Morrell & Co. and was a member of First Baptist Church in Davenport. Ethel was a devoted Christian and loved nothing in this world more than her family. Judge, 92, of Davenport, formerly of Ottumwa, Iowa, passed away May 31, 2013, at her daughters home in Aurora, Ill. She was born March 30, 1921, in Lewistown, Mo., to Lawrence and Elizabeth Brumbaugh Thrasher. She married James Judge in Dallas in 1957. He preceded her in death in July 2011. Surviving is a daughter, Trina (Roger) Krueger of Aurora; two granddaughters, Lindsey Krueger (Travis Valdez) of Davenport and Lauren (Michael) Culhane of Aurora; three great-grandchildren, Jaxson Valdez, Tatum Valdez, and Daniel Culhane; a sister, Violet Meyers of Ottumwa; nephews and nieces, Terry (Dorene) Shaw of London, Ohio, Penny (Pat) Denny of Hedrick, Rick (Pam) Humble of Indiana, Cindy Humble of Coralville, Iowa, Mick Thrasher, Carol Anne (Keith) McIntosh, Kathy (Dick) Porter, Lori (Neil) Yates and Susan (Jack) Walker. She was preceded in death by two brothers, George and Roy Thrasher, a sister, Catherine Humble, and a nephew, Greg Nichols. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Reece Funeral Home in Ottumwa with burial in Shaul Cemetery. The family will be present from 11 a.m. to 1 p. m. Thursday
