She was born August 29, 1918 in Arlington, NE to Henry and Mabel (Lund) Jacob. She grew up at Arlington and moved to Fremont in 1931. Ethel Jacob married Raymond F. Schloemer October 27, 1945 at Hooper, NE. He died October 21, 2002. She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in Fremont. Survivors include: Son – David and wife Karla Schloemer of Fremont, NE; Daughters – Nancy Schloemer of Omaha, NE, Connie McKittrick of Twenty Nine Palms, CA, Kathy McCartin of Fremont, NE and Ruth and husband Ricky Johnson of Omaha, NE; Twin Sister – Edith Ries of Lakewood, WA; Sister-in-law – Adeline Petersen of Fremont, NE; 6 Grandchildren; 5 Great Grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by: Parents; Husband; 4 Brothers – Al, Norman, Donald & Marvin Jacob; 2 Sisters – Marian Jacob & Joyce Wennstedt; Sister-in-law – Bonnie Jacob; and Son-in-law – Ron McCartin. The Funeral will be 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at Salem Lutheran Church in Fremont, NE. The Rev. Del Hutton will officiate. Visitation will be Monday, January 17, 2011 from 3-8 P.M. with family receiving friends 6-8 P.M. at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at church Tuesday. Burial will be at Memorial Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Salem Lutheran Church in Fremont.
