Mrs. Little had washed that morning and had been emptying the wash waer. One large jar, stood near, practically empty, only about three inches of water in the bottom of it. Read More	Child Drowns Friday ~ Ethel Faye Little meets Tragic Death in Stone Jar ~ Marysville and community was greatly saddened last Friday morning when Ethel Faye Little was drowned. Mrs. Little had washed that morning and had been emptying the wash waer. One large jar, stood near, practically empty, only about three inches of water in the bottom of it. The little child accidentally fell headfirst into this jar and was dead before her mother found her. The mother had gone to put some pigs in the lot, and upon her return missed the child. A search disclosed the body. Ethel Faye, daughter of Thomas J. and Hannah Jane Little, was born in Marysville, Iowa May 9, 1934 and died September 20, 1935 at the age of 1 year, 4 months and 11 days. The span of her life was short, but she leaves a memory treasured by all who knew her. Besides her parents, she leaves to mourn her departure, one sister, Thelma Pearl, 2 brothers, Harold and Vernon, her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. L. E. Comstock of Albia and a host of other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by Herbert, an infant brother. Funeral services were held Sunday at 3 p.m. from Methodist church, Marysville conducted by Robert Zimmerman of Lovilia. Burial was made in the Marysville cemetery. Knoxville Papers ~ 1935
