Mrs. Westbury died Tuesday at Lexington Medical Center in West Columbia. She was born Oct. 12, 1926, in Orangeburg County, a daughter of the late Johnny Fields and Dorindie Syfrett Fields. She was the widow of the late Charles Lynn Westbury. She was retired from Stone Manufacturing in North and a member of Bethel Pentecostal Holiness Church. She was preceded in death by a brother, John Andrew Fields, and grandson, Chad Pou. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Glenn and Margaret Shirey of Saluda; seven grandchildren, and a number of great-grandchildren; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Oscar and Dorothy Fields of Neeses and Emmett and Maggie Fields of Elloree; a very special friend and roommate, LaCrecia Taylor. Friends may call at the residence of Glenn and Margaret Shirey, 112 Indian Creek Point, Saluda, and at Thompson Funeral Home of Orangeburg. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, at Thompson Funeral Home of Orangeburg. Memorials may be made to Bethel Pentecostal Holiness Church in Salley. Thompson Funeral Home Inc. of Orangeburg is in charge of arrangements.
