Description	:	AYNOR \| Ethel Mae Shelley Johnson, 91, wife of the late Woodrow Johnson, of South Main St., passed away Thursday, May 28, 2009 at Conway Medical Center. Miss Ethel was born April 12, 1918 in the Pleasant View Community of Horry County, a daughter of the late Charlie and Laura Shelley. She was a member of Aynor First Baptist Church and lived all her life in the Aynor Community. Read More	AYNOR \| Ethel Mae Shelley Johnson, 91, wife of the late Woodrow Johnson, of South Main St., passed away Thursday, May 28, 2009 at Conway Medical Center. Miss Ethel was born April 12, 1918 in the Pleasant View Community of Horry County, a daughter of the late Charlie and Laura Shelley. She was a member of Aynor First Baptist Church and lived all her life in the Aynor Community. Miss Ethel was a strong willed wife and mother, who was an accomplished seamstress and master of country cooking. She loved the good folks of Aynor, especially her wonderful next door neighbors, the Taylors and the Barnhills, who watched over her those many years she resided at South Main Street. God will surely bless her loving and caring special friends Brenda Graham, Dale Moore, and Cynthia Singleton. Tragically she had to bury her husband; and five children, Shelby, Guy, Melvin, Harry and Joel. She was also predeceased by five brothers; three grandchildren; and a very special daughter-in law, Gardenia Johnson. Surviving are two sons, Charlie Johnson of Aynor, Dale Johnson and his wife, Judy, of Surfside Beach, 13 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 4 p.m. Sunday, May 31, 2009 at Aynor First Baptist Church, with the Rev. Glen Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Methodist Rehobeth Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. Saturday, May 30, 2009 at the funeral home. At other times the family will be at the home of Miss Ethel Johnson.
