Abbott Margaret Ethel Huddle Abbott was born August 13, 1896 at Rural Retreat, Virginia, and died at her home west of Emerick, March 21, 1920, aged 23 years, 7 months, 8 days. The deceased was united in marriage to Mr. J. A. Abbott, at Madison, Nebraska, December 10, 1912, and is survived by her devoted husband, and three small children, Orville, Otis and Wilbur, also her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. [James & Mary] Huddle; three sisters, Carrie, Nora and Minnie, and two brothers, Kyle and Stewart [Stuart]. Early in life she joined the U. P. church and always remained true and loyal to the Master's cause. She was a kind wife and mother, and will be greatly missed in the community. Funeral services were held in the Emerick church Monday afternoon, Reverend Austine, officiating. Abbott Mrs. James Abbott died Sunday morning at her house near Meadow Grove following an illness of several weeks with influenza and complications. Mrs. Abbott was a sister of Stuart Huddle and Mrs. William Bickley of Madison. She leaves beside her husband and 3 little sons, her parents and 2 brothers and 3 sisters to mourn her loss.
