Description	:	Ethel Miller, age 93, of Sioux Falls, passed away on July 12, 2006 at Avera Prince of Peace Retirement Community. Ethel Taarud was born on Sept. 1, 1912 in Minneapolis, MN to Charles & Bertha Taarud. As an infant, she moved with her family to Luverne, MN and Avoca, MN. When she was in high school, the family moved to Sioux Falls, where Ethel attended Washington High School, graduating in 1930. She married Jerry W. Miller on May 10, 1935. Read More	Ethel Miller, age 93, of Sioux Falls, passed away on July 12, 2006 at Avera Prince of Peace Retirement Community. Ethel Taarud was born on Sept. 1, 1912 in Minneapolis, MN to Charles & Bertha Taarud. As an infant, she moved with her family to Luverne, MN and Avoca, MN. When she was in high school, the family moved to Sioux Falls, where Ethel attended Washington High School, graduating in 1930. She married Jerry W. Miller on May 10, 1935. She worked at the Sioux Falls Paper Company for 10 years, and then retired to raise her two children. When they were school age, she went back to work at the paper company and continued there for 24 years. She was a member of First Lutheran Church, the Lois Circle, Childrens Care Hospital & School Auxiliary and the Westward Ho, and was a volunteer typist for the church office for 18 years. She was also a resident at Waterford for 10 years. Ethel was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry, in Nov. 1968; her parents; 2 brothers; and 1 sister. Grateful for having shared her life are her daughter, Joan Fuller, of Sioux Falls; her son, Jerry (Nancy) Miller, of Grand Junction, CO; 6 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren. Interment at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Sioux Falls.
