PEARL WEBSTER: On April 13, 1965, at Humber Memorial Hospital, Weston, Mrs. Pearl Webster of Rexdale, beloved wife of the late John James Webster, of Horning's Mills, passed to her eternal rest. The former Ethel Pearl Brett was born at Lavender, in Mulmur Township, on October 26, 1884, the daughter of the late John Brett and Ann Johnston. PEARL WEBSTER: On April 13, 1965, at Humber Memorial Hospital, Weston, Mrs. Pearl Webster of Rexdale, beloved wife of the late John James Webster, of Horning's Mills, passed to her eternal rest. The former Ethel Pearl Brett was born at Lavender, in Mulmur Township, on October 26, 1884, the daughter of the late John Brett and Ann Johnston. In 1907 she took up residence in Dewberry, Alberta, with her parents. Returning in 1911, she married John James Webster, who predeceased her on October 20, 1931. Left to mourn the loss of a loving mother and grandmother are one daughter, Velma (Mrs. Lloyd Bell), Rexdale; two sons, Mervyn of Waldemar; Lavern, Fort Worth, Texas, and five grandchildren, Jim and Marie Bell, Rebekah, Daniel and David Webster. One brother, George E. Brett of Weston, and one sister, Mary (Mrs. John Trimble), Williams Lake, B.C., also survive. Four brothers and four sisters predeceased her. The funeral was conducted from the Gamble Funeral Home on Thursday, April 15, with her pastor, Rev. H. Martin of Thistletown United Church, officiating. The pallbearers, four nephews and two neighbors, were Messrs. Reginald Brett, Earl Martin, William Crewson, Heber Irwin, Kenneth Horsley and Jim Taggart. The beautiful floral tributes and donations for Gideon Bibles bore testimony to the esteem in which the deceased was held. The flowerbearers were Seth Millsap, Carman Martin, Roy Webster, Clarence King, Walter Hicks, Jennie Hicks, Albert Hunter and Keith Bell. Temporary entombment was made in Shelburne Mortuary. The final resting place will be Horning's Mills Cemetery.
