ED HULS SUCCUMBS UNDER SAD CIRCUMSTANCES WAS BORN AND REARED HERE Deceased Had Lived All Her Life in Plymouth County and Had Only Been Married A Year and a half---Funeral on Friday. The home of Edward Huls in Washington township, was saddened on Monday by the death of the young wife and mother, Mrs. Ed Huls, who succumbed to blood poisoning. She gave birth to a boy about ten days ago, and was convalescing, when blood poisoning set in with fatal results. Her death in the early prime of young womanhood and motherhood is a terrible shock to her husband and relatives. Mrs. Huls was only twenty-one years of age and had lived all her life in Plymouth county. Her maiden name was Etta Katherine Harms. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hermann Harms and was born on April 13, 1895. She was united in marriage with Ed Huls on February 16, 1914, and they took up their home in Washington township on a farm. Besides the bereaved husband and infant son, she leaves to mourn her early death, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Harms, four sisters and two brothers, who are, Mrs. J. F. Heeren, Mrs. Fred Pleuger, Mrs. Heio Hein, Mrs. Chas. Utech, Henry Harms and Harry Harms, all of this county. The funeral services will be held in the Preston township church, where she attended her first communion and where she was married, on Friday afternoon at two o'clock, the pastor, Rev. Meyer, officiating. Mrs. Huls was a remarkably fine young woman, radiating health and goodness, was a devoted wife and daughter, and her death in the dawn of womanhood, brings deep sorrow to many friends who knew and loved her and who extend sympathy to the bereaved young husband and the parents and brothers and sisters. --TAKEN FROM THE LEMARS SEMI-WEEKLY SENTINEL, NOVEMBER 28, 1916
