The story could hardly be believed, but (unreadable) only too true. On the evening (unreadable) she had entertained friends until 9 oclock, had been in apparent good health and was in the best of spirits laughing and chatting gaily as was her way. He husband was awakened about 3 oclock in the morning by her making a gasping sound as though struggling for breath. That gasp was the last. A physician was hastily summoned, but life had flown and his science was of no avail. Her death is not alone a cruel blow to her husband, and parents, brothers and sister, but her death is deeply felt by the entire community in which she has been reared and where she was loved by all. Etta Mable Negley was the elder daughter of Montgomery Auble (unreadable) was born near Adin, July 16, 1878, her whole life having been spent at or near this place. She was married to James T. Negley, December 23, 1900 (this could be 1908). She leaves beside her husband, infant daughter and parents, two brothers and a sister to mourn her loss. Mr. Auble was away from home at the time of her death, but was telegraphed the sad tidings and is expected to arrive this evening.
