Mrs. Etta Mae Porter Glahn, wife of Arthur Glahn, a well known family of the Philadelphia vicinity, died Thursday in St. Elizabeth hospital in Hannibal. She had passed her 67th birthday anniversary on the day before her death. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.G. Porter and was born July 30, 1880 in Macon county, Mo., near Ten Mile. Here she attended school and spent her girlhood days. While a young girl she joined the Methodist church at Mt. Zion near Redman, Mo. On February 12, 1905, she was married to Arthur F. Glahn of Clarence, Mo. The body was removed to the B.M. Allen funeral home at Philadelphia and prepared for burial. The body was removed to the home Saturday, where it remained until the funeral hour at 1 o'clock Sunday afternoon when funeral rites were held at the Bethany Baptist church, west of Philadelphia, conducted by Rev. Sam Tullock. Burial was at Clarence, Mo. Pallbearers were Montelle Feaster, Ray Ward, Martin Shriver, Pearl Glascock, Bill Yowell and John White. Surviving are her husband and five children, Louis Glahn, of Milwaukee, Wis., Everett Glahn, of Hannibal; Mrs. Ruby VanOsdal, of Bethel, Mo.; Mrs. Goldie Baker, Cincinnati, Ohio, and Ellis Glahn, of Philadelphia. One child preceded her in death. She also leaves four grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Ada Nichols of Chariton, Ia.; Mrs. Earl Cummins of Macon; three brothers, Arthur, of Tulsa, Okla.; Aaron, of Hayes Grove, Mo., and Charlie, of Macon.
