Description	:	"Eugene A. Franke, age 73, of rural Fremont, died Wednesday evening (Oct. 28th) in the Fremont Health Medical Center. He was born on March 4, 1942 in Fremont. His parents were Howard and Nora (Gieselmann) Franke. Eugene grew up on the farm east of Winslow. He attended Bell Center rural school, Heuitt School, and Immanuel Lutheran School, then graduating from high school in Hooper. He farmed with his father for a while. Then he spent the rest of his working years on the farm. Eugene was a member of the Retread Motorcycle Club, Fremont Eagles Aerie 200, and he served on the district 63 school board for 12 years. Survivors: wife – Jennie 2 sons – Shawn and wife Brandy Franke of Fremont Scott and wife April Franke of Palmer, Iowa 3 grandchildren – Kelsey Peatrowsky of Lincoln Tyler and Adam Franke of Palmer, Iowa sisters-in-law – Rose Franke and Carrie Kiger, both of Fremont sister-in-law and brother-in-law – Sarah and Rod Frost of Ames He was preceded in death by his parents Howard and Nora, brother Maynard Franke, granddaughter Mikayla Dawn Franke, sister and brother-in-law – Irene and Paul Sherod, and brother-in-law Bob Kiger. A memorial service will be 10:30 AM Monday (Nov. 2nd) at Trinity Lutheran Church followed by committal in Ridge Cemetery. His family will be at the Ludvigsen Mortuary on Sunday from 5 to 7 PM to receive friends. Memorials are suggested to the Low Income Ministry and Trinity Lutheran Church."
