Born in Rowan County on November 8, 1939, he was a son of the late Allen W. Speight and Lena Kluttz Speight. He was retired after 30 years of service from J. C. Eugene Speight STATESVILLE - Eugene Alexander Speight, 66, formerly of The Plaza, died Thursday evening (Feb. 16, 2006) at Brian Center of Statesville. Born in Rowan County on November 8, 1939, he was a son of the late Allen W. Speight and Lena Kluttz Speight. He was retired after 30 years of service from J. C. Survivors include daughter-In-Law Pamela Speight; two grandsons Jacob Allen Speight and Joshua Adam Speight all of Harmony and a Sister-In-Law Mrs. Jackie Speight of Faith. Funeral S ervices : 11a.m. Tuesday at Westmoreland Chapel of Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home with Rev. Darrin Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at a later date in the Faith Lutheran Church Cemetery. Visitation : The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Condolences may be sent on-line to the family at www.legacy.com.
