Mr. Sowers was a plate maker for RR Donnelley & Sons Co. and a Boy Scout troop leader at Wallace for several years. His memberships included Wallace Christian Church and he was a Wallace High School graduate. He was born Oct. 2, 1918, in Fountain County, to Leo Ralston and Ruby Eleanor Shuler Sowers. He married Gladys Newnum Sowers on Nov. 11, 1939. She survives.
