He was born on Feb. 6, 1935, in Waynesboro and was a son of the late Gladys Bryant Blosser. Mr. Wood retired from the maintenance department at Page Valley Bank and from Markowitz Appliance. He was born on Feb. 6, 1935, in Waynesboro and was a son of the late Gladys Bryant Blosser. Mr. Wood retired from the maintenance department at Page Valley Bank and from Markowitz Appliance. He was past president of the Luray Little League and Luray Midget League. He was an Army veteran and was a member of the Luray Volunteer Fire Department and the Luray Volunteer Rescue Squad. On June 20, 1964, he married Barbara Ellen Jenkins who survives. Surviving in addition to his wife are four sons, Jimmy E. Wood of Hinton, Victor E. Wood of Hinesville, Ga., Michael E. Wood of Frederick, Md. and Derek W. Wood of Luray; four daughters, Kim S. Wood of Stanley and Glenda M. Cooper, Penny M. Pettit and Pam K. Hilliard, all of Luray; a sister, Odelle Blosser of Baltimore, Md.; 10 grandchildren; and one great grandchild. Lacy was born c1907 in Rockbridge Co, VA, son of A. N. Wood. Gladys was born c1912 in Augusta Co, VA, daughter of Charles Brisco Carroll (1875-1952, FAG 58717667) and Lulu Emma Hutchens (1875-1947, FAG 58717668). Lacy and Gladys were married 15 Apr 1933 in Staunton, VA and divorced 7 Oct 1941 in Augusta Co, VA. Gladys was married in 1944 in Washington Co, MD to Jay L. Bryant (1910-1967). Jay's obituary says he died in late Jan or early Feb and was buried in Baltimore, no cemetery specified.
