Description	:	Convicted of burglary, Crosby was sent to Folsom State Prison in early 1927. He became known as the "Poet Burglar" after several of his poems appeared in the local newspapers. He was one of five convicts who were hung after causing a prison uprising where 11 prisoners died and 17 were injured. Plus a guard suffered a heart attack and died, and a Sacramento deputy sheriff died from appendicitis after refusing to leave his post during the riot.
