Description	:	Mr. Eugene Hospers, age 65, of Hull, passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2013, at the Pleasant Acres Care Center in Hull. Eugene Dale was born on November 6, 1947, in Hull, the son of John William and Dena (Haveman) Hospers. He was raised at Hull, where he attended the Hull Christian and Western Christian High schools. Read More	Mr. Eugene Hospers, age 65, of Hull, passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2013, at the Pleasant Acres Care Center in Hull. Eugene Dale was born on November 6, 1947, in Hull, the son of John William and Dena (Haveman) Hospers. He was raised at Hull, where he attended the Hull Christian and Western Christian High schools. He then moved to Sioux Center to attend Dordt College. After finishing college he served in the National Guard. On December 29, 1970, he married Nancy L. Van Keppel, in De Motte, Indiana. They made their home in Sioux Center for four years, before moving to Hull. "Gene" was a teacher and coach at the Western Christian High School and painted during his summers. He enjoyed watching the Atlanta Braves and FOX News, following the area sports teams, and spending time with his family. He was a member of the First Christian Reformed Church, where he served as an elder, deacon, and on pastoral search committees. Survivors include his wife of more than 42 years; four children and their spouses, Jennifer and Tyler Atkinson, of Sheboygan, Wisconsin, Christine and Kevin Rosencrans, of Zeeland, Michigan, and Sandra Hospers, and Daniel and Nicole Hospers, all of Sioux City; six grandchildren, Noah and Naomi Atkinson, Peyton, Addison, and Keaton Rosencrans, and Olivia Hospers; a sister and her husband, Hildred and Clair Abee, of Salt Lake City, Utah; and his mother-in-law, Gwen Van Keppel, and a brother-in-law and his wife, Karl and Jacque Van Keppel, all of De Motte.
