Description	:	Son of John & Edith (Dasher) Stradley. His parents died at an early age, so Eugene was raised by his Aunt and Uncle in Waverly, Nebraska where he attended school. He worked on the family farm before entering the Navy on April 24, 1944. He was a Fireman First Class. He received the following medals: Victory Medal, American Area Campaign Medal, Asiatic Pacific Area Campaign Medal and the Philippine Liberation Ribbon. He was honorably discharged on April 22, 1946. They were married in Grand Island, Nebraska on November 28, 1953. Eugene worked for 6.5 years at Soil Movers in Columbus, and for 26 years at Becton Dickinson in the tool & dye department. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, American Legion and a life member of the VFW. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. In his spare time he worked on lawn mowers. Memorial may be directed to Immanuel Lutheran Church, Family Life Center.
