A private family services and burial will be at a later date at Creston Fairview Cemetery at Creston, Nebraska. There will be no visitation. Kleine Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Eugene was born November 3, 1930 at Humphrey, Nebraska, the son of Alphonse and Marie (Heintz) Hollatz. He served in the U.S. Navy from November 1947 to November 1951 and was assigned to the Cama Group Islands. Eugene and his wife, Ruth, made their home in Grand Island where he was self-employed and worked in construction all his life until retirement. Mr. Hollatz enjoyed visiting with family and friends and was active in the familys genealogy. He is survived by four brothers; LaVern, Mark, Melvin, and Jerry, nieces and nephews, a special neighbor; Dan, who helped Eugene in and around his home. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth, his parents and one brother, Don.
