Madison Ave. died at 12:30 p.m. April 30, 1995, at Ottumwa Regional Health Center. He was born Nov. 14, 1911, in Birmingham to Fredrick T. and Eudoxie Jane Penn Gallup. He married Dorothy Dale on May 9, 1935. He lived in Fairfield before coming to Ottumwa in 1935, and had been an employee of J.C. Blunk Construction for 29 years, and Wausau Homes for 10 years. He served in World War II with the Air Force. He is survived by his wife. He was preceded in death by five brothers, Ralph, Louis, Floyd, John and William Gallup; and three sisters, Nellie Taylor, Edith Conley and Grace Rising. The graveside service will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Shaul Cemetery, the Rev. Vern Elder officiating. Pallbearers will be Harold and Tom Spurgeon, Clifford Beaver, Larry Sample, Wilbert Johnson and Don Cox. Visitation is open after 10 a.m. today at Reece Funeral Home in Ottumwa. Family visitation will be 7 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be made to Ottumwa Regional Health Foundation for Home Care.
