Mr. Keefe, 76, died Saturday, Oct. 5, from heart failure. The Mass of Christian Burial was concelebrated by Father John J. Keefe and Father Dennis Hunt. Mrs. Ray Vanis and Dan Hook furnished music. Eugene Keefe, the son of Owen and Annie Haggerty Keefe was born Sept. 25, 1909, on the family farm southeast of David City. He attended country school near Yanka. As a young man, he was a laborer for several area farmers. During the WWII years he worked in defense construction in California. Then he worked for 20 years in Sioux City and 25 years in Omaha as a heavy equipment construction laborer before returning to David City. He is survived by numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Daniel. ___ p. 11, col. 3 CARD OF THANKS – A sincere thank you on behalf of Eugene Keefe for all the acts of kindnesses and prayers.
