Description	:	Funeral services for Eugene Janzing, 72, of Madison will be at 10:30 a.m., Monday, November 23, 2009 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Norfolk with Reverend Scott Hastings, officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery with military rites by American Legion Post 35, VFW Post 5763 and the Nebraska National Guard Honor Guard. Gene Janzing was born in Atkinson, Nebraska on November 8, 1937 to Herman and Dorothy (Bruder) Janzing. He received his education from St. Mary’s in O’Neill, Nebraska. He joined the United States Army on October 20, 1955 and received an honorable discharge October 20, 1958. Gene married Marcia Dell Anderson on May 14, 1960 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Fullerton, Nebraska. He worked for Capital Bridge and later worked for Dales in Columbus and Norfolk until his retirement due to health problems. He is survived by his wife, Marcia, and 3 daughters and their husbands, Deb and Scott Riedel of Lincoln, Brenda and John Orlowski of Madison and Tammy and Rod Schantz of Norfolk, and 7 grandchildren.
