Description	:	SKOWHEGAN -- Eugenie J. LeClair, 79, of Albion, passed away Aug. 24, 2008, at Woodlawn Nursing Home in Skowhegan. Born March 29, 1929, in Waterville, she was the only child of Albert and Ida Mae (Cote) Cowan. Eugenie married Maurice O. LeClair in Waterville Oct. 25, 1947, at the Notre Dame Catholic Church. He passed away Jan. 4, 1997. She was a member of Notre Dame, and a professed member of the Secular Franciscans, St. John the Baptist Order since 1999. She spent her life knitting for her children and grandchildren, using 100 percent wool from the sheep her family... Read More	SKOWHEGAN -- Eugenie J. LeClair, 79, of Albion, passed away Aug. 24, 2008, at Woodlawn Nursing Home in Skowhegan. Born March 29, 1929, in Waterville, she was the only child of Albert and Ida Mae (Cote) Cowan. Eugenie married Maurice O. LeClair in Waterville Oct. 25, 1947, at the Notre Dame Catholic Church. He passed away Jan. 4, 1997. She spent her life knitting for her children and grandchildren, using 100 percent wool from the sheep her family raised. She enjoyed vacationing with family and loved to take trips to Canada. She is survived by her three children, Shawn LeClair and his wife, Tracy, of Albion, Maureen LeClair and her companion, Greta Madore, of Albion, and Brian LeClair and his companion, Darlene Rette, also of Albion; eight grandchildren, Nicole, Danielle, Erika, Aimee, Michelle, Christopher, Andrew, and Mary; two great-grandchildren, Kadence and Jack; two sisters-in-law, Carmen and Lucy; three brothers-in-law, Emile, Aldoph, and Nelson; along with several cousins, nephews, and nieces. She was predeceased by her husband, Maurice, and her parents. Donations made be made to the Waterville Soup Kitchen, 72 Pleasant St., Waterville, ME 04901. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 28, at Notre Dame Catholic Church in Waterville with burial to immediately follow at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery in Waterville.
