Description	:	Eula M. Dunlap Musician, Eula M. Dunlap, 82, of Svenson, died Tuesday, July 15, 2003, in Seaside. Mrs. Dunlap was born Oct. 29, 1920, in Douglas, Neb., to Willis H. and Sarah M. Crabtree Jones. On March 11, 1950, she married Earl W. Dunlap in Denver, Colo. He survives, residing in Svenson. Mrs. Dunlap attended school in Minden, Neb., graduating from high school in 1938. Dunlap, 82, of Svenson, died Tuesday, July 15, 2003, in Seaside. Mrs. Dunlap was born Oct. 29, 1920, in Douglas, Neb., to Willis H. and Sarah M. Crabtree Jones. On March 11, 1950, she married Earl W. Dunlap in Denver, Colo. He survives, residing in Svenson. Mrs. Dunlap attended school in Minden, Neb., graduating from high school in 1938. She was a soprano for the Nebraska State Choir during her high school years. During the 1960s, she worked for the First National Bank in Portland before becoming a homemaker and organizing a trio called the "Tri-Lites" for gospel sharing at Beaverton Christian Church in the 1960s and 1970s. Before retiring, she traveled long haul over 48 states with her husband. She was a member of Crossroads Community Church in Vancouver, Wash. She enjoyed creative writing, including musical lyrics, teaching music, playing the piano, gardening, farming, food preparation, cookbooks, recipes and all types of sewing. Family members say she created happy childhood years for her grandchildren and was very spiritual. In addition to her husband of 53 years, she is survived by two sons, J. Scott Dunlap of Nehalem and Jim M. Dunlap of Manzanita; a daughter, Sara M. Alvstad of Aloha; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; a brother, James Jones of Holdrege, Neb.; and two sisters, Catherine Maxon of Salem and LuEllen Jones of Oxford, Neb. A brother, Willis Jones, preceded her in death. Memorial service is 3 p.m. today at Hughes-Ransom Mortuary, Astoria. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, in care of Hughes-Ransom Mortuary, 576 12th St., Astoria, OR 97103.
