Kruseman, 74, a resident of the New Sharon Nursing & Rehab Center in New Sharon, and formerly of Oskaloosa and Leighton, died Tuesday morning, February 17, 2004, at the care center. She was born June 12, 1929 in Mahaska County, the daughter of William and Nelle DePrenger Rempe. She graduated from Pella High School with the class of 1947. On January 15, 1952, she was united in marriage to Ralph Kruseman, at her parent's home in Mahaska County, near Leighton, and he died September 4, 2003. She was a homemaker all her life. Kruseman, 74, a resident of the New Sharon Nursing & Rehab Center in New Sharon, and formerly of Oskaloosa and Leighton, died Tuesday morning, February 17, 2004, at the care center. She was born June 12, 1929 in Mahaska County, the daughter of William and Nelle DePrenger Rempe. She graduated from Pella High School with the class of 1947. On January 15, 1952, she was united in marriage to Ralph Kruseman, at her parent's home in Mahaska County, near Leighton, and he died September 4, 2003. She was a homemaker all her life. When her children where in high school Eunice worked part time at the Central Park Cafe in Pella. She was an excellent cook; loved to read and sew; and do counted cross stitch, embroider, garden, and travel with bus tours. She especially enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a member of the Ebenezer Reformed Church in Leighton, and belonged to the Sisters in Christ group at the church. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, and the Black Oak and Scott Homemakers club. She is survived by her son and his wife: Tom and Linda Kruseman of Leighton; her daughter and her husband: Janet and Jon Overbergen of Leighton; 4 grandchildren: Matt and Katie Overbergen, Ben and his wife April Kruseman, and Staci Kruseman; and a great granddaughter: Bailee Kruseman. Besides her husband, Eunice was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother Max Rempe.
