Description	:	Eunice Frances Scott Jessup, 87, of Jar Gap Lane, Ararat, died Wednesday, January 9, 2008, at her home. She was born in Surry County, N.C., on March 18, 1920 and was a daughter of the late Samuel and Mattie Noah Scott. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Calvert Jessup; two infant daughters, Betty Sue Jessup and Norma Jean Jessup; three sisters, Edith Flippin, Ethel Tilley and Mabel Bishop; and three brothers, Lloyd Scott, Leonard Scott and Frank Scott. Surviving are four daughters, Mary Jessup of the home, Ruth Payne of Ararat, Joyce Belton of Collinsville and Linda Gray of Mount Airy, N.C.; one son, Cecil Jessup of Ararat; 11 grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two stepgreat-grandchildren; one sister, Angeline VanHoy of Jonesville, N.C.; and two brothers, Clarence Scott of Ararat and Glenn Scott of Siloam, N.C. Funeral services were conducted Friday at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy by the Revs. Buford Jessup and Barry Foster. Burial was in the Jessup family cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Mount Airy Church of God, P.O. Box 1445, Mount Airy, N.C. 27030.
