Bull, 90, a longtime East Wenatchee, WA resident, passed away in Glendale, AZ on June 4, 2015. On August 2, 1924, at East Wenatchee, WA, the late Hubert Oscar and Marian Constance (Harriman) Hart welcomed daughter Eunice to their family. She was the second of eight children and grew up on Stemilt Hill. While on a double date with her best friend, she met Melvin Bull, but he wasn’t her date. Cupid’s arrow had hit its mark, it was Love at first sight; three months later, they were married. They made their home in East Wenatchee and, while Melvin worked in construction, she was very happy being a wife and mother to their children, Bill, Clifford, Don, Sharon and Crystal. The family was her job and she loved every minute of it. Her children remember their home with an “Open Door” to all their friends. The children’s friends became one of the family and Melvin and Eunice were lifelong friends with many of them. Entertainment growing up was the kids and their activities, whether it was football, basketball or, in later years, soccer games for the grandchildren. When Crystal left home, Eunice went to work in the warehouses, until Melvin was sent to Alaska to work. They lived there for a year, then returned home to East Wenatchee. Crystal remembers the love her parents shared, “They would sit on the couch, holding hands just like Ozzy and Harriet.” Melvin passed away in 1984. In 1988, Eunice met Jeff Whitaker. They enjoyed their later years together as companions, shopping buddies and BEST FRIENDS until he died in 2008. Eunice’s love for her family will never be forgotten. She was the “Ultimate mother and grandmother” recalled Bill. Her holiday meals were always something to look forward to and, for many years, a visit by Santa for the grandkids had always been arranged. In 2013, it was decided that Eunice would move to Glendale, AZ with her daughter, Crystal. Eunice’s life was filled with LOVE and for her 90th Birthday, a large birthday bash was planned in Arizona with all of her family attending. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Melvin Bull; two sisters; five brothers; daughter in-law, Linda Bull; great-grandson, Kade Whitaker; and companion, Jeff Whitaker. Eunice is survived by her children, Bill (Linda), Clifford (Donna) Bull, Don Bull, Sharon (Andy) Rytter, and Crystal (Don) O’Kelley; 14 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and four step-great-great-grandchildren. Funeral Services are planned for Monday, June 15, 2015, at 1:00 p.m. at Heritage Memorial Chapel in East Wenatchee, with Interment at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
