Description	:	Eunice Sexton, wife of School Supt. Lloyd Sexton, was in the company of Mildred Swearingen, who was the wife of Fremont Presbyterian minister J. W. Swearingen on the morning of Saturday, January 10, 1976. The two of them were in downtown Fremont attending a meeting of the PEO at the Pathfinder Hotel when an explosion occurred due to a natural gas leak, killing them and several others, and completely destroying the hotel as well as the better part of a city block.
