Description	:	Eunice Standish was born in 1817 (most likely in January) in Connecticut (most likely New London County) when her parents were aged 25. Her family moved from CT through New York State (were her brother William was born) and then to Wood Township, Clark County, Indiana. They arrived in Clark County about June 1819 in company of Thomas Bellows (cousin of her father Silas) and family, Samuel Hallett and family and Joseph Durfy and Peleg Lewis, all from New London county, CT, per Baird's Hx of Clark Co. Read More	Eunice Standish was born in 1817 (most likely in January) in Connecticut (most likely New London County) when her parents were aged 25. Her family moved from CT through New York State (were her brother William was born) and then to Wood Township, Clark County, Indiana. They arrived in Clark County about June 1819 in company of Thomas Bellows (cousin of her father Silas) and family, Samuel Hallett and family and Joseph Durfy and Peleg Lewis, all from New London county, CT, per Baird's Hx of Clark Co. Around 1828, her family moved to Washington County, IN. Eunice married William ("Willie") Burr Banks 02 DEC 1834 in Washington Co, Indiana. They had eight children in 19 years. She was about 40 when her husband died. In 1860, she was living in Howard Township, Wash. Co., IN with 6 of her children as a widow. In 1870, she was living with son Edward and his wife and 3 kids and also 3 of her own children in Howard Township. In 1880, she was living on farm in Howard Township with son John Wesley Banks, who is 23. She died on September 4, 1893, in Washington Co., Indiana. Obit: Salem D., Sep 7, 1893, Hooker Items - Aunt Eunice Banks, an aged and well-known lady, died near Hooker this morning, and the remains will be interred at the Standish grave yard, tomorrow, after funeral services at house. Infirm and blind for some time.
