Description	:	Virginia Allen, 68 of Montezuma passed away Sunday, July 22, 2012 at the Mayflower Care Center in Grinnell. Graveside memorial services will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2012 at 1 pm at the Jackson Township Cemetery in Montezuma. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Grinnell Regional Hospice. Eunice Virginia Allen, daughter of John T. and Doris(Andrew)DeLay was born on August 11, 1943 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She attended school in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. On November 7, 1959, Virginia was united in marriage to Merlyn John Newberg in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. To this union five children were born, Marilyn, Marsha, Mary, Mike and Mark. Merlyn and Virginia relocated to Marshalltown, where they later divorced. Virginia married Roger D. Allen in Idaho Falls, Idaho in 1975. After Roger's death in 2011, Virginia moved to Montezuma to be closer to her children. Virginia was a housewife and volunteered with hospice in Idaho. She enjoyed gardening, reading and playing on her coumputer. She enjoyed and was very talented at graphic design on her computer. Virginia was survived by her children Marsha(Albert)Johns, Mary(Lowell)Osborn, Mike(Kellie)Newberg and Mark(Lori)Newberg; her brother, William L.(Sandy)DeLay; her sister, Mary Ann Kjergaard; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her patents; her husband, Roger Allen; one daughter, Marilyn Jean Newberg and seven brothers and sister; John A. DeLay, Ardit Roelfsema, Beulah M. Parks, James R. DeLay, Inez L.Gauch, Charles J. DeLay and Rex D. DeLay.
