Description	:	Miss Euphemia Holden,, daughter of Solomon and Mary Holden, was born July 20, 1848 and died October 25, 1908, at the home of her sister, Mrs. Effie Jacks, at East Danville. She was the oldest of a family of eleven children, five brothers having preceded her to the Great Beyond. She was the oldest of a family of eleven children, five brothers having preceded her to the Great Beyond. One brother and four sisters are left to morn the loss of a loving sister: Jesse Holden, Mrs. Lucinda Walker of Danville, Mrs. Ruth Roush, Mrs. Effie Jacks of East Danville and Mrs. Jane Young of Princeton, besides a host of relatives and friends. She was converted about twenty-one years ago, and untied with the German Reform church at Danville under the preaching of Rev. Smith and was a faithful member up to the time of her death. In the year of 1889 her mother died and Aunt Euphemia being the oldest child, the care and responsibility was left to her to care for her father brother and sisters. In August 1891 her father was called home, thus leaving her alone. She then moved from the home her father had left her to make her home with her brothers and sisters. She was a true friend, a loving daughter and a kind sister. She had only been confined to her bed for three days. Cause of her death was paralysis of the throat. She was so patient in her sickness and never complained. "The final summons came Sunday noon October 22, 1908, when she quietly slept away. (Above in the obit it states she died the 25th) Funeral services were conducted from the home of her sister, Mrs. Effie Jacks at East Danville, Monday by the Rev. C. C.
