Description	:	Euphemia Richardson Poston, 82, passed away at her home in Pamplico on Wednesday, April 12, 2017, after a long illness. Originally from the Britton's Neck area, she was the daughter of Daniel "McDuffy" Richardson and Ruth Lane Richardson. She crossed the river to Pamplico in 1952 when she married Frank and has lived there in the community of Salem ever since. A lifelong worker and devout member at Union Baptist Church, she held many positions there throughout the years, including, WMU Director, Choir Assistant, Youth Leader, Poinsettia Committee, and even a brief stint as pitcher of the UBC Softball Team. ... Originally from the Britton's Neck area, she was the daughter of Daniel "McDuffy" Richardson and Ruth Lane Richardson. She crossed the river to Pamplico in 1952 when she married Frank and has lived there in the community of Salem ever since. A lifelong worker and devout member at Union Baptist Church, she held many positions there throughout the years, including, WMU Director, Choir Assistant, Youth Leader, Poinsettia Committee, and even a brief stint as pitcher of the UBC Softball Team. She directed many members to the doors of her church, including her son-in-law and several friends. She loved to work in the garden and her yard was always full of flowers, that she was happy to share with anyone who asked. She could "sucker" tobacco with the best of them, and was known far and wide for her tomatoes. During the summer months, she kept a plate of sliced tomatoes on the table at every meal. She was an avid fisherman, and could out-fish most anyone she went with, and loved to have "fish frys" as often as she could. Mrs. Poston was predeceased by her son, Francis Poston; brothers, Cullen Richardson and Roy Richardson, and sisters, Charlotte Wilson and Judy Hendrix.
