Born in the Rathwell District on the family farm, she received her education at the Rathwell School. She married Charlie Chester on March 2nd, 1926 at her family's home at Rathwell. They lived n Fort Macleod until moving to Lethbridge in 1936. In 1939 they moved to the McBride District where they farmed until 1973 when they retired to Fort Macleod where they have resided until her passing. She is a past Noble Grande of Mountain View Rebekab Lodge No. 23, being a member since 1950. She was an active member of the M.A.E. Belle Club. She attended Trinity United Church where she was a member of the choir for many years. She was also a last secretary of the Pensioners Organization of Fort Macleod. Besides her husband Charlie, she is survived by two sons, XXX of the Ardenville District and XXX of Fort Macleod; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, one sister - Mrs J. (Lottie) Kendall of Thunderbay Ontario, two brothers, Charles and Alec Clarke both of Lethbridge. She was predeceased by three sisters, Mrs. G. (Lizzie) Eckmiere, Mrs. J.C.-(Laura) Chester, and Mrs. J. (Bella) Chester; four brothers Chris, Bill, Walter and Ted Clarke
