Description	:	Eva B. Smith, 98, was born May 6, 1904, in Wessington, SD, the daughter of Ezra and Arla (Baker) Huddleston. The Huddleston family moved to Wall in 1918. Eva married Herman Sebade May 10, 1922, and to them three children were born. Along with being a homemaker, she was a main baker for the famous Wall Drug. Then after Herman's death in 1959 she worked for the West River Electric. Smith, 98, was born May 6, 1904, in Wessington, SD, the daughter of Ezra and Arla (Baker) Huddleston. The Huddleston family moved to Wall in 1918. Eva married Herman Sebade May 10, 1922, and to them three children were born. Along with being a homemaker, she was a main baker for the famous Wall Drug. Then after Herman's death in 1959 she worked for the West River Electric. She served the community by being a promoter of saving bonds and distributing ration coupons during World War II, plus serving on the school board and church board in Wall. In 1964 Eva married Don Lytle, and during their married life they moved to Rapid City. Don passed away in 1975. Eva was a promoter for special events like the Minister Aunt (a three-act comedy) and Eva's Fantasy both church benefits. Even though some thought it was too big of a project, she reassured them by stating, "Have faith and it will work out." Then in 1979 Eva married Robert Smith, and they celebrated their 23rd wedding anniversary May 25, 2002. This marriage was blessed with a special companionship from heaven above. A marriage of love, devotion filled with faith, and caring for family, and praying for others. They were always smiling and setting an example of complete happiness that can be achieved on this earth. She is survived by her husband Robert Smith of Hot Springs; one son, Boyd Sebade and wife Helen of Lander WY; two daughters Arla Sabo and husband Emery, Myrnaloy Smith and husband Guy all of Rapid City; eight grandchildren, David Sebade, Mike Sebade, Susan Downham, Linda Enders, Gorden Sabo, Paul K. Smith, Patty Goodro, Loyann Kistler; numerous great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Darold and Vyrl Huddleston; and granddaughter Karen Marie Smith. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 3, 2002, at Kirk Funeral Home in Rapid City. A prayer service will be Tuesday at South Maple United Methodist Church in Rapid City. Services will be Wednesday, September 4, at the United Methodist Church in Wall, with Pastor Tom Haggar and Pastor Jim Cissell officiating. Burial will follow at the Wall Cemetery. A memorial has been established in honor of the South Maple United Methodist church in Rapid City.
